Neil Rankin

Neil Rankin currently serves as the Head of Active Wellbeing at the University of Edinburgh Sport, a position held since August 2025, and as the Deputy Head of Delegation for British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) since February 2024, where involvement includes the GB Students delegation for the Winter World University Games in Torino (2025). Previously, roles included People & Participation Manager and Sports Coordinator at Edinburgh University Sports Union, Development Coordinator at Scottish Student Sport, and various project officer positions with BUCS and Commonwealth Games England. Neil holds a Master's Degree in Sport Policy, Management and International Development from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Aberdeen.
