Patrick Ryals is a structural engineer with extensive experience in both practical and research roles. Currently serving as a Structural E.I.T. at Britt, Peters and Associates since June 2021, Patrick previously gained valuable experience through various roles, including a Structural Engineering Co-op at the same firm and participation in projects focused on improving construction practices in Haiti with Clemson Engineers for Developing Countries. Patrick's work includes researching the use of bamboo reinforcement in concrete structures and conducting thorough analyses in material sourcing, mix designs, and product distribution. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering, both from Clemson University.

For over 54 years, Britt, Peters and Associates (BPA) has been a leader in civil and structural engineering. We've helped plan, design and project-manage thousands of challenging projects for clients with stringent budget, schedule and quality requirements. Our multidisciplinary staff works collaboratively with clients on a local, regional and national basis across a variety of industries. With roots tracing to 1968, today’s Britt, Peters and Associates was formally established in 1993. It is owned and operated by five principals – John Connelly, Steven Dover, Seth Robertson, David Impson, and Bret Underwood – all professional engineers, and all sharing the same philosophy. We take a business perspective to engineering solutions, treating every dollar as if it were our own and we do so with a service ethic that clients often tell us is distinctive, enjoyable and refreshing.
