Sana Tonekaboni

Postdoctoral Fellow at Broad Institute

Sana Tonekaboni is a researcher at the Vector Institute since November 2017, with extensive experience in various research roles at the University of Toronto's Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, including positions as a research assistant and graduate teaching assistant. Notable projects include cellular channel measurement using software-defined radio and early seizure detection through neural brain recordings. Additional experience includes internships at Apple and Google, roles as a health system impact fellow at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, and an applied research scientist intern position at Element AI. Sana holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and has completed both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, respectively, along with a minor in bioengineering.
