Thomas Kainamura Pedersen

Thomas Kainamura Pedersen, PhD, currently serves as a Computational Associate II at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard since March 2024. Pedersen has a substantial academic background with a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, expected in December 2024, and holds a Master of Engineering in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Human Life Science Engineering from the same institution. Previous experience includes roles as an Associate Computational Biologist I and Visiting Scholar at the Broad Institute, as well as a Student Assistant at DTU Vet, where contributions focused on NGS data analysis for neoepitope predictions. Additional experiences include serving as Camp Coordinator at Biotech Academy and as a Sales Assistant in various retail positions.
