Broad Reach Power
Doug Moorehead's work experience began in 1996 when they joined the US Navy as a Naval Special Warfare Officer (SEAL) and served until 2005. Doug then worked at A123 Systems in various roles, including Program Manager and Product Management, from 2007 to 2010.
From 2010 to 2018, Moorehead worked at Earl Energy, LLC, first as Chief Operating Officer in 2010-2011, then as President from 2011 to 2015, and finally as a Board Advisor from 2015 to 2018.
In 2017, they participated in The Aspen Institute's Henry Crown Fellowship program as a Fellow.
From 2013 to 2020, Moorehead held the role of President & Chief Technology Officer at FlexGen®, where they led the development of power equipment products for various industries, including oil & gas, marine, and mining & industrial.
Currently, they are the Chief Operating Officer at Broad Reach Power, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this role, they served as Managing Partner & Chief Technology Officer at the same company from July 2019 to February 2022.
Doug Moorehead started their education in 1992 at the United States Naval Academy, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry with Distinction. Doug completed their undergraduate studies in 1996. Following this, Doug attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2000 to 2002, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering. Lastly, they attended Harvard Business School from 2005 to 2007 and earned a Master of Business Administration degree.
