Dustin Odom, CPA, has over 20 years of work experience in finance and accounting. Dustin currently serves as the VP of Accounting, Planning, and Tax at Broad Reach Power, starting in April 2023. Prior to this role, Dustin worked at Verge Mobile as the VP of Finance and Accounting from 2018 to 2023. During their time there, they played a crucial role in the company's exponential growth through multiple acquisitions and the successful implementation of a custom ERP system. Dustin was responsible for all functions of accounting, finance, real estate, payroll, and planning and reporting.
Before Verge Mobile, Dustin held the position of Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Alert Logic from 2016 to 2018. Dustin was recognized for building a value-added finance department and providing critical insight and analytical support to executives. During this time, they oversaw financial systems and controls, implemented best practices, and executed strategic initiatives.
Prior to Alert Logic, Dustin worked at Clearly Petroleum, LLC as the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis from 2015 to 2016. Dustin also gained significant experience in finance leadership roles at BG Group from 2010 to 2015. Before that, they worked at Deloitte from 2005 to 2010, where they served as Audit Staff, Senior, and Manager. At Deloitte, they were responsible for timely and accurate SEC filings and managed multiple teams.
Dustin began their career as a part of Kanakuk Kamps from 2000 to 2004. Throughout their career, they consistently identified improvements, established efficient processes, and provided exceptional client service. Overall, Dustin has a strong background in finance and accounting, with expertise in financial planning and analysis, SEC filings, and leading teams.
Dustin Odom, CPA has a Master of Science degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University. Dustin also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the same university. Prior to attending Texas A&M, they were enrolled at Texas Tech University, where they studied Architecture and Business Administration before transferring. Additionally, in July 2007, Dustin obtained their CPA certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
