Susan Schaefer is an experienced freelance journalist and communications professional, currently contributing as a feature writer for The Chestnut Hill Local and a columnist for East Falls Now. Schaefer has a diverse background in journalism, with roles including contributions to Broad Street Review and Next Avenue. As the Principal of Schaefer Communications LLC since 1984, Susan provides strategic communications solutions across various sectors, including healthcare and finance. Recent positions also include Director of Communications at Mt. Airy Art Garage and previous experience as a journalist for Minnesota Premier Publications and Mill City Times. With a solid educational background, including a doctorate in European Public Affairs from Maastricht University, Schaefer has also taught Strategic Communications at St. Catherine University and led courses at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.
