John Buchanan

John Buchanan is currently the AVP, Operations & Financial Analysis, Licensing at BMI. John has over 16 years of experience in finance and corporate financial planning and analysis.

Buchanan started their career at Philips Consumer Electronics in 2000 as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Controller Function of the Monitors Business Unit. John then moved to Newell Rubbermaid in 2003 as a Finance Supervisor for the Rubbermaid Home Products Business Unit. In 2007, Buchanan was promoted to Corp. Financial Planning & Analysis Manager at Ferro Corporation.

In 2014, Buchanan left Ferro Corporation to join Remington Arms Company as their Director, Corporate FP&A and Assistant Treasurer. John held this position until 2016 when they joined BMI.

John Buchanan has a BS in Finance from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and an MBA in Management and Entrepreneurship from The University of Akron. John is certified as a CMA - Certified Management Accountant from the IMA | Institute of Management Accountants.

John Buchanan works with Liz Fischer - SVP, Corporate Communications & Marketing, Ann Sweeney - SVP, International and Global Policy, and Russ Blose - VP, Corporate Analytics & Development. John Buchanan reports to Michael O’Neill, President and CEO.
