John Ellwood

John Ellwood has extensive experience in the legal and business affairs sectors, particularly within the music industry. Since July 2007, John has held several positions at Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), culminating in the role of Assistant Vice President, Strategy and Business Affairs, Creative. Prior roles at BMI include Assistant Vice President, Legal, Senior Attorney, Attorney, Law Clerk, and Executive Legal Assistant. Before joining BMI, John worked at the United States Attorneys' Offices from June 2000 to June 2007, serving as a Legal Assistant and Clerk through the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP). John earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Seton Hall University School of Law between 2009 and 2013, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in History from the City University of New York-College of Staten Island from 2000 to 2004.
