Debbie Schroeder is a highly accomplished legal professional currently serving as Group General Counsel at Ventia since January 2022, leading a team of lawyers and risk professionals while contributing to the Executive Leadership Team and Board. Prior experience includes General Counsel – Corporate at CSR Limited from September 2001 to November 2021, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing legal, risk, and governance functions, as well as acting as Company Secretary since 2010. Debbie's extensive background includes significant M&A experience, managing legacy asbestos litigation, and driving CSR’s COVID response as Acting Executive General Manager of Human Resources. Educational qualifications comprise a Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance from Chartered Secretaries Australia and a Bachelor of Laws with a focus on corporations law and litigation from the University of Sydney.
