Calan Thurow is a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in the gaming industry. Currently serving as the Technical Director at Bioware since December 2009, Calan Thurow manages the development of the game Star Wars: The Old Republic. Prior to this role, Calan Thurow worked at 2K Games Austin as a Senior Lead Engineer for the Server Team and contributed as Technology Director on an unannounced massively multiplayer online strategy game. Additional experience includes serving as Technology Director at NCsoft, Technology Director at Sony Online Entertainment, Senior Programmer at Electronic Arts (Origin), and Programmer at pcOrder.com. Calan Thurow holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Rice University, obtained in 1995.
