Ian Klek

Ian Klek has worked in the software engineering industry since 2002. Ian began their career at npower as an MI Team Coordinator, where they developed bespoke MS Access databases and provided problem solving support. In 2005, they moved to CompAir UK Ltd as a Data Analyst. From 2007 to 2013, they worked as an ICT Technician for the Royal Air Force, providing Oracle 10g based engineering and mission planning systems. In 2018, they joined SolarWinds as a Software Developer. In 2020, they moved to Waracle, where they held two roles: Software Development Manager / Full Stack Lead and Full Stack Developer. Currently, they are employed at Broker Insights as a Software Engineering Team Lead.

Ian Klek has an extensive education history. Ian obtained a Foundation degree in Computing from Staffordshire University between 2002 and 2005. In 2008 and 2009, they attended the Defence College of Communications Information Systems and obtained an NVQ Level 3 for Communication Technology Professionals and a BTEC Level 3 National Award in Communications Electronic Engineering. Ian also obtained a Computing degree from Staffordshire University in Software Development in 2002-2005. In addition to their formal education, Ian has obtained several certifications, including a Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org in March 2022, a Client Needs and Software Requirements certification from Coursera in July 2021, a Self Awareness & The Effective Leader certification from Coursera in July 2021, an Agile Software Development certification from Coursera in November 2019, a Software Development Processes and Methodologies certification from Coursera in October 2019, a Microsoft Certified Professional certification from Microsoft in March 2017, a Microsoft Specialist: Programming with HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript certification from Microsoft in March 2017, and an ITIL Version 3 Foundation Examination certification from the British Computer Society in February 2010.
