Health Coach, Diabetes Prevention Program at Brook Health

Karen Taylor has worked in various roles since 1990. Karen began their career as a Community Relations Director and Special Projects Producer at KNTV-11 in 1990. Karen then worked as a Senior Producer at KGO-TV ABC7 in 1994. In 1996, they joined Bechtel Corporation as the Head of Great Place to Work Initiative and Human Resources Communications, and held various communication and human resources roles. In 2013, they became the Director of Human Resources Communications at Levi Strauss & Co. In 2018, they joined HealthSlate as a Lifestyle Coach, providing personal coaching to support members in creating healthy habits and lasting lifestyle change. In 2019, they joined Brook Health as a Health Coach for the Diabetes Prevention Program, which was recently renamed to Brook+.

Karen Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of California, Los Angeles. Karen earned a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach from the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching in April 2020, a CHEF Culinary Coaching (Culinary Health Education Fundamentals) from Harvard Medical School and Institute of Lifestyle Medicine in August 2018, a National Diabetes Prevention Program Lifestyle Coach from Solera Health in August 2018, and a Certified Personal Coach from Wellcoaches in February 2019.
