Sanya Williams

Sanya Williams, MS, CTRS, is an experienced Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with a career spanning over two decades in various healthcare settings. Currently employed at The Schulman and Schachne Institute at Brookdale U Hospital Medical Center since 2006, Sanya provides therapeutic recreation services to diverse populations, including those who are severely regressed, ventilator-dependent, geriatric, and affected by AIDS/HIV. In addition to this role, Sanya is the Owner, Founder, and CEO of FlowerChild Fitness LLC, focusing on exercise and its impact on health and wellness through workshops and presentations. Previous experience includes serving as a Wellness Consultant at Independence Care System, and a Recreational Therapist for the National MS Society Upstate New York Chapter, Hebrew Home of Greater Washington, and The Hospital for Sick Children. Sanya holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from The George Washington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Howard University.
