Abigail Lora

Abigail Lora is an experienced educator with a strong background in special education and student support. Currently serving as the Student Support Coordinator at Brooke Charter Schools since July 2016, Abigail previously held the role of Special Education Teacher at Mott Haven Academy Charter School from August 2014 to June 2016 and worked as a 4th Grade Teacher with NYC DOE from February 2013 to June 2014, along with experience as a Substitute Teacher. Earlier in their career, Abigail worked as a Recreation Therapist at The Children's Village in 2008. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Elementary Inclusive and Special Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, completed in 2014, an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University, achieved in 2008, and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Expressive Arts from Trinity College-Hartford, awarded in 2005.
