Richard Powers

Managing Partner, Real Estate at Brookfield Asset Management

Richard Powers is a prominent figure in real estate and finance, currently serving as Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management since September 2022 and as a Lecturer at Yale College, where Powers developed and teaches a course titled "The Role of Real Estate in the Economy and Society." A board member of the German Marshall Fund of the United States since October 2006, Powers previously held the position of Managing Partner at O-Zone Partners from March 2018 to October 2022, focusing on Opportunity Zone investments. Powers also served as Managing Member at Grand Street Investments, LLC from April 2011 to August 2022, and retired as a Partner at Goldman Sachs in 2011 after 12 years in the Merchant Banking Division.
