Benedetto Schiraldi

Benedetto Schiraldi, PE, currently serves as the Energy and Sustainability Manager at Brookhaven National Laboratory since September 2022. Prior to this role, Benedetto was the Senior Energy Manager at the NYC Department of Sanitation from June 2017 to October 2022, where leadership was provided to the Energy Management team responsible for achieving a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Contributions include managing significant funding for energy efficiency projects, including a $439,000 lighting upgrade and over $26 million in solar installations. Additionally, Benedetto's experience includes engineering positions at NORESCO, WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, and teaching as an adjunct professor at Stony Brook University.
