Richard Ohlsen

Richard Ohlsen serves as the Manager of Nuclear Materials Management and has held the position of Emergency Management Specialist at Brookhaven National Laboratory since April 2008, where significant accomplishments include managing business development for a $40M project with the National Institute of Standards and Technology. In addition to contributions at Brookhaven, Richard has been a Deacon at St. Anselm's Episcopal Church since February 2025 and previously served as Senior Warden at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Yaphank from January 2011 to March 2022. Richard's earlier roles include Directing Domestic Disaster Preparedness and Response for Episcopal Relief and Development and serving as a Program Specialist at the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Richard holds an MBA from Norwich University and is a doctoral candidate at Walden University, in addition to a BS in Marine Transportation/Business Administration from the State University of New York Maritime College. Currently, Richard is pursuing theological education at Mercer School of Theology.
