Mellissa Heermann

Mellissa Heermann has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Mellissa began their career at Florence Crittenton as a Project Manager - Mentorship from 2002 to 2003. Mellissa then moved on to the Lake Preston where they served as the Mayor from 2007 to 2008. After that, they joined Daktronics where they held multiple roles including International Project Manager from 2003 to 2007, Administration Supervisor from 2007 to 2011, Sales Support and Administration Manager from 2011 to 2015, and finally, as an IT Manager from 2015 to 2020. Currently, Mellissa is working at Brookings Health System as a Revenue Cycle Director from June 2020 onwards. In addition to their professional career, they are set to become a State Representative for the South Dakota State Legislature starting in January 2023.

Mellissa Heermann completed their Bachelor's degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Operations Management degree in Operations Management and Supervision from South Dakota State University, where they attended from 2014 to 2020.
