Jacob Taylor is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sustainable development and international consultancy. Currently serving as a Fellow and Senior Project Manager at the Brookings Institution's Center for Sustainable Development, Jacob Taylor focuses on the 17 Rooms initiative to promote action toward the Sustainable Development Goals. Prior roles include Consulting Scientist at Aptima, Inc. for a DARPA program, Visiting Research Fellow at the East Asia Bureau of Economic Research, and Co-Founder of Beijing Elite Rugby, aimed at growing rugby in China. Jacob Taylor’s background also features positions with the Chinese Olympic Committee, CCTV5+ as a sports commentator, and coaching the Chinese Youth Rugby Sevens Team. Jacob Taylor is a former professional rugby player with the Australian Rugby Union, complemented by a strong academic foundation, holding a PhD and MS from the University of Oxford, and a BA from the University of Sydney.
