Joe Kane

Fellow at Brookings

Joe Kane is a Fellow at The Brookings Institution, where since June 2012, research focuses on economic development and the built environment across local, state, and national issues, including infrastructure investment and workforce concerns. In addition, Joe serves as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's McCourt School of Public Policy, developing and teaching graduate-level courses in infrastructure policy and planning. Previously, Joe worked as an Economist at the U.S. Department of Labor, conducting research on employment and economic trends. Academic credentials include a Master of Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from William & Mary, and a Classical Diploma from Phillips Exeter Academy, complemented by a study period at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
