John A. Hackett

Mr. Hackett currently serves as the Controller of J.J. Ruddy Insurance Agency, Inc., a position that he has held since 2005. Previously, Mr. Hackett served as the President of J. J. Ruddy Insurance Agency, Inc. for over 40 years, and retired as the President in 2005. Mr. Hackett served as a director of Mystic Financial, Inc. and its subsidiary bank, Medford Co-operative Bank, for 23 years before it was acquired by the Company in 2005. As a director of Medford Co-operative Bank, Mr. Hackett served as the chair of the Loan, Investment, Compensation, and Nominating Committees. As a member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Hackett serves on the Company’s Audit, Compensation, and Nominating and Governance Committees. Mr. Hackett’s long-time service as a member of the Board of Directors of another financial institution provides him with unique and valuable insight as it relates to the oversight of the Company’s activities.
