Anna Olson

Anna Olson is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at Brooklyn Botanic Garden since July 2016, where responsibilities include payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, and inclusive HR practices. Prior to this role, Anna was an HR Generalist at Third Street Music School Settlement, managing the HR function and establishing policies. Earlier experience includes roles at Columbia University, where Anna managed employee transactions and leaves of absence. A background in social work also includes internships at VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired and Columbia School of Social Work. Anna holds a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, a M.Ed in Social Studies Education, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
