Mike McGinnis

Mike McGinnis is a seasoned musician and educator with extensive experience in jazz instruction and music performance. Currently serving as a Jazz Instructor at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music since September 2019, Mike McGinnis has also been active as a musician at Mike McG Music since January 1983, specializing in saxophone, clarinet, flute, composition, and arrangement. As a co-founder and woodwind player for The Four Bags, Mike McGinnis has contributed as a composer and co-manager since 1999. Mike McGinnis co-founded RKM Music in that same year and operates Mike McGinnis Music Lessons, specializing in saxophone, clarinet, composition, and music skills education. Mike McGinnis holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the University of Southern Maine and a Master's degree in Music from the Eastman School of Music.
