Ryan McCurdy is an accomplished actor, musician, and creative professional with a diverse range of experience in the performing arts. Since March 2014, Ryan has been a member of the Actors' Equity Association as an actor and currently serves as Music Director and Actor-Musician with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater. As a Resident Music Director and Teaching Artist for FunikiJam Music since March 2012, Ryan has contributed extensively to music education. Other notable roles include Co-Creator of Beginnings, an innovative project exploring the early days of Camelot, as well as serving as Faculty at Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music, where Ryan specializes in early childhood education. Ryan has also maintained a position as a musician with AFM, Local 802, and has acted in Greencard Wedding and Bonfire Falls. In addition to artistic roles, Ryan has provided creative consulting for Historic Tours of America and was the Executive Artistic Director for Savannah Repertory Theatre until December 2023. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Performing Arts and Film from Savannah College of Art and Design, obtained in 2006.

Brooklyn Conservatory of Music
Founded in 1897, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music has been transforming the lives of New Yorkers through music for over a century. We offer private music lessons in every major instrument, as well as group classes, Suzuki method, orchestral and choral ensembles, and on-site music therapy at our historic home in Park Slope. These students range in age from 6 months to 104 years! We provide music instruction to schools and community centers all over New York City, reaching more than 4,000 public school students each year, 80% of whom live below the poverty line. We also provide clinical music therapy to over 1,400 kids and adults with special needs each year, both at our Park Slope facility and at schools and community-based organizations across the five boroughs. Throughout the year, we present 200 concerts and community events on average, many of which are free to the public. Our mission is to remove the barriers that hinder anyone from experiencing music, and to provide New Yorkers of all ages the tools to lead more empathetic, more empowered, more joyful lives.
