Esiena Ekwofia, LMSW, currently serves as the Director of Social Work at Brooklyn Defenders, having also held various supervisory roles within the organization since March 2017. Responsibilities include staff recruitment, onboarding, clinical supervision of social work students, and collaboration with legal staff to provide comprehensive client support. Prior to this, Esiena worked as a Care Manager at Bergen's Promise and completed internships at Brooklyn Defender Services and Inter-County Council On Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Inc., focusing on client advocacy and service plan implementation.
