Julian Montijo

Julian Montijo is a dedicated legal professional currently serving as a Staff Attorney at Brooklyn Defenders since September 2022. Montijo has held various positions in legal education and practice, including a Student Clinician role in the Civil Rights and Restorative Justice Clinic at Northeastern University School of Law and a Law Clerk position at Contra Costa Public Defender. In addition, Montijo has significant editorial experience with the Northeastern University Law Review, serving as Senior Editor and Associate Editor. Previous internships include work with the ACLU's Voting Rights Project and People's Law Office, among others. Montijo completed a legal education at Northeastern University School of Law and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Comparative Literature and Economics from Cornell University. Montijo also studied at Sciences Po Aix and is pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Northeastern University.
