Laura Gomez

Laura Gomez has over a decade of experience in social work, currently serving as the Director of Social Work at Brooklyn Defenders since April 2014, with prior roles including Associate Director, Senior Social Work Supervisor, Social Work Supervisor, and Senior Social Worker. Previously, Laura worked as an Out of Court Advocate at Brooklyn Family Defense Practice from April 2014 to November 2022, and held positions as a Therapist at The Children's Aid Society and Therapeutic Foster Care Case Planner at Children's Aid Society. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Marist College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Mount Saint Mary College.
