Nora Offen

Nora Offen, LCSW, currently serves as a Senior Social Worker at Brooklyn Defenders, where employment began in January 2020. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Client Services Associate at Brooklyn Community Bail Fund and various positions at the Center for Court Innovation, including Senior Social Worker and Interim Clinical Director. Nora also completed internships at Kings County District Attorney's Office and The Hetrick-Martin Institute. Earlier experience includes volunteering as a Peer Crisis Counselor with Bard's Response to Rape and Associated Violence Education and serving as a Crisis Counseling Summer Intern at Family Violence Prevention Center. Nora holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Written Arts and Gender Studies from Bard College.
