Catherine Futter

Catherine Futter is a distinguished curator and art historian currently serving as the Director of Curatorial Affairs and Senior Curator of Decorative Arts at the Brooklyn Museum since January 2020. Previously, Futter held various roles at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, including Director of Curatorial Affairs and Senior Curator of European Arts. Futter's career at the Nelson-Atkins spanned nearly two decades, during which significant contributions were made to curatorial, conservation, and collections management departments. Futter holds a Bachelor's degree in Medieval and Renaissance Studies from Duke University and a Ph.D. in History of Art from Yale University.
