Elizabeth St. George currently serves as Assistant Curator at the Brooklyn Museum since January 2020 and has been a Visiting Lecturer at Pratt Institute since April 2012. Previous positions include Senior Research Associate and Research Associate at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from November 2014 to January 2020, and Exhibitions Assistant at The Bard Graduate Center: Decorative Arts, Design History, Material Culture from September 2008 to October 2014. Elizabeth also gained experience as a Curatorial Intern at the Museum of Arts and Design in 2009. Educationally, Elizabeth holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 19th and 20th century design and architectural history, focusing on Czech and Eastern European Modernism from Bard College (2010-2018), as well as a Master of Arts (M.A.) in the History of Decorative Arts, Design, and Culture from Bard College (2008-2010) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art History from Kent State University (2003-2008).
