Katherine Kusiak Carey is an experienced professional in museum education and social justice advocacy. Currently serving as the Education Project Administrator for Outreach & Impact at the Brooklyn Museum since January 2017, Katherine supports the Director of Education in developing inclusive museum programs and writing internal and external reports. Previous roles include a Research Intern at the Center for Court Innovation and a Program Assistant for the Friends Committee on National Legislation, where Katherine facilitated program logistics and coordinated advocacy efforts. Katherine has also worked as a Media Instructor at Girls for Gender Equity, a Volunteer Outreach Coordinator with the Brooklyn Community Foundation, and held various internships that enhanced skills in research, social media management, and community engagement. Katherine holds a Master's degree from Hunter College's Silberman School of Social Work and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Mount Holyoke College.
