Marissa Lamphere-Knapp

Marissa Lamphere-Knapp has a diverse work experience in public health education and program coordination. Marissa started their career at the Broome County Health Department in 2011 as a Public Health Educator and later became a Supervising Public Health Educator in August 2021. Marissa also served as the Reality Check Program Coordinator from August 2014 to February 2018. In 2018, they joined the Broome County Health Department as an Opioid Overdose Prevention Coordinator. Prior to their work at the health department, Marissa worked at Lourdes Hospital from 2002 to 2013. Marissa held the role of Program Facilitator from March 2002 to August 2013 and also served as the Supervisor of the Family Support Program from April 2004 to March 2009. In this role, they supervised and trained staff, volunteers, and student interns, and collaborated with community agencies and schools to implement family support programs for at-risk youth and their families.

Marissa then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Human Development and Family Studies, General at Binghamton University from 2002 to 2004.

Marissa's education journey continued at the State University of New York Cortland from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained a Master of Science in Teaching (MST) with a focus on Education.
