Mario L. Vazquez, Ed.D., has extensive experience in education and academic advising, currently serving as an Academic Advisor and Adjunct Professor at Broward College since January 2006. Prior to this role, Mario worked as a Visual Arts Educator for Miami-Dade County Public Schools from August 2003 to July 2015 and as an Educator at New Haven Public Schools from August 2001 to July 2003. Mario's early career included positions as an Accounts Receivable Specialist with the Department of Veterans Affairs and a Cannon Fire Direction Specialist in the United States Army. Additionally, Mario held a position as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, an Educational Specialist in Educational Leadership from Barry University, and both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Southern Connecticut State University, along with an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Central Texas College.
