Nancy O'Donnell-Wilson

Nancy O’Donnell-Wilson, Broward College’s Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director of the Broward College Foundation, leads a team of development officers and support professionals, who work with a volunteer board of directors comprised of business and community leaders. They are united by the belief that every person who is determined to change their life through the pursuit of higher education should be afforded that opportunity. Nancy’s responsibilities include advocating for, elevating awareness of and raising private financial support for the college’s academic programs, learning facility enhancements and scholarships. She considers serving as a mentor to students to be one of the position’s fringe benefits.

Nancy has presented at several national professional development conferences, including workshops for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). On the state level, she is on the Board of Directors of the Florida College System Foundation and has served as president of the Florida Council for Resource Development. Locally, she chairs the AvMed Community Advisory Board, is Vice Chair on the Board of Directors and chairs the Marketing Committee of The Tower Club, is a board member for Business for the Arts Broward, and is past president of the Hundred Club. Nancy is a graduate of Leadership Broward Class V and Leadership Florida Class XXIX.

Nancy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida where she graduated with the distinction of membership in the Florida Blue Key Honor Fraternity. She earned her Master of Arts in Communication from Florida Atlantic University and her thesis was recognized by CASE for outstanding scholarship in communication.

When not serving her community, Nancy enjoys mountain climbing, fishing, skiing, stand-up paddle boarding and scuba diving with her husband and family.
