Modesto Gato

Modesto Gato serves as the Associate Vice President of Finance at Broward Health since March 2019, leading all functions of the Accounting department and managing the operating and capital budget process for the health system. Previously, Modesto held the position of Director of Financial Planning and Budget at Miami Children's Hospital from January 2008 to December 2015, where responsibilities included preparing a five-year strategic forecast and overseeing the Finance Analytics department. Modesto holds an M.B.A. from Florida International University, obtained between 2006 and 2008, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the same institution, earned from 1992 to 1995.
