Peter Whitney

Peter Whitney is a Partner and Head of Private Investment Research at Brown Advisory, a position held since October 2009, specializing in areas such as venture capital, growth equity, buyout, credit, real estate, and impact investing. Prior to this role, Peter served as Head of Manager Research for the Investment Solutions Group, where the focus was on external manager research and asset allocation, advising families, family offices, and institutions on endowment-style portfolios. Earlier experience includes summer analyst positions at RBC Wealth Management and Morgan Stanley in 2008 and 2009. Peter Whitney holds a BA in Economics and History from Tufts University, earned between 2005 and 2009, and completed education at the Friends School of Baltimore from 2001 to 2005.
