Erik Gessert

Erik Gessert is a seasoned environmental engineer with extensive experience in remediation and petroleum management. Currently serving as a Senior Environmental Engineer at Brown and Caldwell since February 2024, Erik previously held the position of Senior Remediation Engineer at Terracon from February 2018 to February 2024, where responsibilities included leading remediation and LNAPL projects at various levels. Prior experience includes serving as Petroleum Remediation Supervisor for the State of Colorado from August 2010 to February 2018, focusing on regulatory oversight of underground and aboveground storage tanks. Erik began his career at Terracon, working as a Project Manager from May 2003 to August 2010, managing hazardous waste and petroleum release projects. Erik holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earned between 1996 and 2001.
