Bess Freedman

Bess Freedman serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Brown Harris Stevens, a position held since July 2013, where Bess is responsible for overseeing 55 offices and over 2,300 agents across multiple states, leading the firm to become one of the largest privately held real estate companies in the United States. Prior to this role, Bess held various senior positions at The Corcoran Group from January 2003 to May 2013, and practiced law as an attorney at Legal Aid and as an Assistant State's Attorney in Montgomery County, Maryland. Bess Freedman received a JD from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, a BA in Sociology from Ithaca College, and completed high school at Albany Academy for Girls.
