Susan Yohn Sphr (Torchia)

Susan (Torchia) Yohn, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive work experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment and staffing, employee relations, performance evaluation processes, compliance with HR laws, and managing benefit plans. Susan has served in various roles, including Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager at Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz. Additionally, they have had experience as an Employment Specialist and HR Assistant at Holy Spirit, a Geisinger affiliate. Susan has demonstrated their expertise in HR by serving on various committees and providing consultation to clients on a range of HR issues.

Susan (Torchia) Yohn, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Human Resource Management from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Susan attended the university from 2002 to 2006. Prior to their college education, Susan attended Trinity High School, where they completed the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program from 1998 to 2001.

In addition to their formal education, Susan has also obtained several certifications. In July 2009, they earned the SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. Later, in January 2015, they obtained the SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional) certification from SHRM. More recently, in May 2019, Susan participated in the JA Young Women's Futures Symposium organized by JA of South Central PA.
