Anne-Marie Dorning

Anne-Marie Dorning is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as the Associate Vice President for Advancement Communications at Brown University since February 2024. In this role, Anne-Marie leads the strategic communications portfolio aimed at alumni, parents, and donors, managing a 12-member integrated team to deliver impactful and brand-aligned messaging. Prior to this position, Anne-Marie was the Vice President of Marketing and Communication at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, overseeing a 10-member team and ensuring effective messaging across platforms. Anne-Marie's earlier roles include Director of Communications at Concord Academy, where strategic communications were developed to meet enrollment and fundraising goals, as well as an award-winning National News Journalist/Producer at ABC News, managing significant coverage across various platforms. Anne-Marie began the career as a Producer at WGBH, contributing to local programming. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Journalism from Northeastern University and an MA in Political Science and Journalism from the University of Toronto - Victoria University.
