Asabe Poloma

Asabe Poloma, Ph.D., currently serves as President of the Consortium for Advanced Studies Abroad and has held multiple prestigious positions at Brown University since 2017, including Associate Provost for Global Engagement and Director of the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship program. Additional experience includes a role as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Massachusetts Boston, where a graduate course on "Leadership for Global Inclusion and Social Development" was taught. Poloma previously served as Executive Director at the Institute for Recruitment of Teachers, focusing on fundraising, strategic planning, and program development, and as a Program Assistant at The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Higher Education from UMass Boston, an MS in Nonprofit Management from Columbia University, an MA in International Relations from Old Dominion University, and a BA in Political Science with a minor in Finance & Leadership Studies from Hampton University.
