Derek Stein

Derek Stein is the Founder and CEO of Adept Materials, bringing extensive academic experience as a Professor Emeritus at Brown University, where previous roles included Professor and Associate Professor. Derek's research background includes a postdoctoral position at Technische Universiteit Delft and an early career technical internship at Agilent Technologies. Derek earned a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Harvard University between 1997 and 2003 and obtained a B.Sc. (Honours) in Physics from McGill University from 1994 to 1997.
