Lisa Di Carlo serves as a Senior Lecturer and Provost's Faculty Teaching Fellow in the Sociology Department at Brown University since July 2012, where responsibilities include mentoring students in migration studies and managing qualitative research teams. As the Research Development Project Lead at The Pandemic Center at Brown University, a role undertaken from May 2023 to January 2024, Lisa led research design for the American Democracy and Health Security Initiative. Previous experience includes founding The Field School for Social Innovation, providing consulting at Philadelphia University, and holding various academic positions at Clark University, SVPRI, Business Innovation Factory, and Babson College. Lisa holds a Ph.D. and an MA in Anthropology from Brown University, as well as degrees in Applied Linguistics and International Relations from Georgia State University.
