Ramanan Mahendran

Ramanan Mahendran serves as the Director of Portfolio Risk at Bruce Power since May 2007, overseeing Market Risk Management and Price Forecasting programs while managing a team of four. Ramanan regularly presents to Executive and Board Committees, engages with external stakeholders such as IESO, and maintains critical internal relationships across various departments. Previous roles include Risk Manager and Senior Risk Management Analyst, where Ramanan developed valuation models, established risk management frameworks, and performed complex instrument valuations. Prior experience at TD Bank Financial Group involved automating reports and streamlining business processes. Ramanan holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Exeter, is a Financial Risk Manager certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and has a BSc. Hons in Economics & Biochemistry from the University of Toronto.
