Chip Smith

Chip Smith is an experienced technical professional in the field of chemistry and engineering. Currently serving as a Customer Technical Support - Field Service Engineer Rover at Bruker BioSpin since April 2018, Chip provides swift phone and remote assistance to ensure timely service and parts delivery. Previous positions include NMR and MRI Field Service Engineer at Cheeky Scientist and Associate at the University of Missouri, where responsibilities involved protein crystallization, molecular dynamics simulations, and bacterial growth studies. As an IGERT Research Trainee, Chip focused on developing novel composites using neutron scattering techniques under NSF Grant Number DGE-1069091. Earlier experiences include roles as a TA and lab prep assistant at College of the Ozarks, and a customer-facing position as a Dock Hand at Starboard Corporation. Chip holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BS in Chemistry with a minor in Math from College of the Ozarks.
