Thorsten Thiel

Thorsten Thiel, Ph.D., is an accomplished professional with extensive leadership experience in the scientific instrument sector, currently serving as President of the Services & Life Cycle Division at Bruker BioSpin since October 2016. Thorsten oversees global services and aftermarket strategies, including regional service operations and global service innovation, while also playing a key role in M&A and organizational strategy. Previous roles at Bruker include positions as Deputy Head of Global Sales and Global Vice President of Marketing. Thorsten's career began in academia, with postdoctoral research in neuroscience and pediatric imaging, followed by roles in marketing and product management at Bruker from 2001 to 2016. Thorsten attained a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuroscience, Physical Chemistry, and Physics from the University of Freiburg.
