Maxine McClain

Maxine McClain is a seasoned professional in the field of life sciences, currently serving as the Regional Account Manager for Pharma East at Bruker since July 2024. Previously, at NanoString Technologies, Inc., Maxine held multiple senior managerial positions from October 2017 to July 2024, focusing on providing technical consultation for large pharmaceutical accounts and guiding experimental design in genomics. Maxine's extensive experience also includes roles at Fluidigm Corporation as a Senior Field Applications Scientist, managing pre- and post-sales support, and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Project Manager on a multi-site collaboration for in vitro diagnostics. With a background in electrical and computer engineering, as well as biomedical engineering, Maxine has developed drug discovery assays and contributed to innovative product development in various applications. Academic credentials include a PhD from Georgia Institute of Technology and Master's and Bachelor's degrees from The Catholic University of America.
