Duncan McCourt is a Partner at Brunswick Group in London. Duncan has over 20 years of experience in political and economic consulting, including high-level positions in the UK government and private sector.

McCourt began their career as an analyst in European equity strategy at Credit Suisse First Boston and JPMorgan. In 2005, they became an assistant to Peter Viggers, MP, and then took on the role of Fresh Start Project Director for Andrea Leadsom MP in 2010. In this role, McCourt was responsible for delivering the Fresh Start Project, a comprehensive review of the UK's relationship with the EU. Duncan also managed Leadsom's office during their time as an MP.

In 2015, McCourt left their position with Leadsom to become Special Advisor to the Foreign Secretary at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Duncan advised on European issues and helped shape UK policy during a time of great uncertainty surrounding Brexit. In 2016, they left the Foreign Office to become Chief of Staff and Special Adviser to the Chancellor at HM Treasury. In this role, McCourt provided political and policy advice to the Chancellor on a range of issues, including Brexit. Duncan left HM Treasury in 2019 to join Brunswick Group as a Partner.
