Simon Iaffa Nylén has a diverse range of work experience in the field of sustainability. Simon began their career at Brunswick Real Estate, where they served as the Head of Sustainability at Fastighets AB Regio and Sustainability Manager at Brunswick Real Estate. In this role, they were responsible for implementing sustainable practices and managing ongoing projects such as digitalization of GHG accounting and climate risk assessments. Simon also had a role as a Sustainability Intern at Brunswick Real Estate before becoming a Sustainability Manager.

Simon's involvement in sustainability extended beyond their role at Brunswick Real Estate. Simon served as the Chairman of the Board and a Board Member at YSP - Young Sustainability Professionals, a network for young professionals working in sustainability in Sweden. Simon also became a member of MERC Talangnätverk, a professional talent network.

Prior to their work at Brunswick Real Estate and YSP, Simon gained experience at SIWI - Stockholm International Water Institute. Simon served as a Summer Officer in 2017 during the World Water Week, focusing on global water, climate, and development issues. In 2016, they had a dual role as a Summer Officer for the World Water Week and an Internship as part of their B.Sc., where they contributed to the Swedish Textile Water Initiative and addressed water challenges in the textile industry.

Throughout their career, Simon Iaffa Nylén has demonstrated a strong commitment to sustainability and has gained experience in various roles and organizations.

Simon Iaffa Nylén began their education in 2013 at Lund University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. Simon successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2016. In 2015, Simon attended the University of Virginia for an exchange semester, focusing on Environmental Science and Sustainable Development. After their bachelor's degree, Simon enrolled at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, undertaking a Master of Science degree in Sustainable Urban Planning and Design from 2016 to 2018.

In addition, Simon has obtained several certifications to strengthen their expertise in sustainability. In 2021, they completed the certification titled "EU-taxonomin – så redovisar du enligt den nya lagen och investerares krav" from Aktuell Hållbarhet. In 2020, they acquired two certifications: "Att lyfta socialt utsatta bostadsområden - metoder och tillvägagångssätt" from Aktuell Hållbarhet and "Foundations in Responsible Investments" from Principles for Responsible Investment.
